Mara Capozzi was born in Toronto, Canada to American and Italian Parents. She studied art at the A.G.O. (Art Gallery of Ontario) and Claude Watson School of the Arts, and continues to paint in oils and acrylics. She continues to travel extensively to observe and appreciate different cultures and their artwork. Capozzi settled in Los Angeles in the mid 1990s to study and persue a career as a make-up artist in the entertainment industry.

After revisiting an interest in the craft of beading, Capozzi was captivated by the medium and started fashioning pieces for herself, family and friends. This lead to an expansion into wire wrap and encasing gem stones. Before long requests poured in for personalized orders, and the rest is history. She debuted her line at the infamous Melrose/Fairfax Outdoor Sunday Market where she quickly gained a following. Today her designs are available on line, at Trade shows, and in select Boutique Shops across the United States.

"My first love is art in it's many forms, and this carries over to the art of make-up, which I still do for select clients, but today I feel most inspired to create artistic jewelry. Sometimes clean classic lines are enough, and sometimes I like to go to town creating wearable works of art which combine multi layers of color, shape and dimension."

"I do not have a favorite Gem stone, in fact every season I am particularly drawn to a different and color palet but it is always based on natural stones and precious metals. My signature collection is always a winner to me because it combines every color of the rainbow. So much positive energy is radiated from the combination of the natural crystals. For me it feels great to make others look and feel good in return."
